Switched by Amanda Hocking
I am very excited to have received this advanced copy of Switched from Librarything.com. The world of Trylle is absolutely amazing! I requested this book first, for the beautiful cover, and second, because of the excerpt I read about it. I wasn’t aware that this book would actually be about trolls, but that made it even more fascinating. I fell in love with the characters, especially Wendy and Finn.
This book was very fast-paced and it was very difficult for me to put it down. I read it in two sittings over the course of two days. I’m very excited about the second book, Torn, as well as the third book, Ascend. I only wish that I didn’t have to wait so long to have the opportunity to read them. The author, Amanda Hocking, definitely knows how to capture a reader’s attention. Now for me to patiently wait for February 28, 2012 !

Three to Get Deadly by Janet Evanovich
This series just keeps getting better and better. Janet Evanovich has so much spunk and I love it. This book in particular had me laughing out loud. I'm really enjoying the fact that Lula is becoming more involved. Her character is hilarious! The red scarf tied to the dead man's feet sticking out from the trunk of a car just about had me rolling on the floor laughing. Kudos to Evanovich for coming up with these insane scenarios. Definitely looking forward to reading Four to Score.

Hades by Alexandra Adornetto
I love this series. When I got close to the end of the book, I was relieved that maybe this would be the end of it, only because I hate it when a book leaves you hanging. I got all the way to end feeling wonderful about it, until I read the Epilogue. So, now I have to wait for the next book! I can't say that I'm unhappy about it. I'm more unhappy about the fact that I have to WAIT for the next one to be released and I am very inpatient person. But on to a more positive note; I am really impressed with this author especially because of her age. I wish that I could write as well as her. The first book, Halo, was impressive but not nearly as impressive as I found this book to be. It seems like her style of writing has improved a lot since the last book was published. Kudos! Very excited for the next book to be released.

I have read all of the books to this series and was very excited about the release of this one, so I had to preorder it. I have to say that in the beginning it wasn't very good. It took a little while for the story to pick up its pace. Some of the lines said by the characters were cheesy and a little childish. I felt like I was watching a tv program meant for children with its main point being promotion of friendship and an "I can do this," spirit.
About halfway through the book it began to show the characteristics of what I had expected it to be, and I thorougly enjoyed it to the end. This book was by far more than I could have asked for and I can't wait for the next installment in the House of Night series.

One for the Money by Janet Evanovich
I picked this book up while at a used bookstore in NC. I loved it! It was a fast page turner. I had heard a lot of good things about this series but have never thought about reading it. I'm glad that I did. Sometimes I had a hard time keeping up with all of the different characters; there were a lot! But in the end, everything fell into place. Stephanie is one awesome character. This book is really empowering and shows how people can really be capable of great things, even in horrible situations.
