This is not the type of book that I would normally read. Seeing the movie trailer was actually the reason why I decided to read it. This book was beautifully written. It's filled with sadness and despair but also happiness and some parts are even humorous. Minny is probably my favorite character. I love her spirit. Plus, she likes to talk back to people that treat her badly. She stands up for herself where others sometimes don't. Miss Skeeter's character is inspirational and I love her as well. Her determination shines through her throughout this novel. I can't wait to watch the movie so that I can put faces to these wonderful characters.
