Fallen by Lauren Kate

This is the first book that I have read by Lauren Kate and I was very impressed with it. I moved through the story very quickly and I absolutely loved the twists and turns at the end. Kate's writing style is unique and extremely descriptive. I was able to picture much of what she described in her book. The characters were well depicted. Daniel's character seemed to be portrayed a little better than Luce's character and I believe that was due to the fact that I didn't know very much about Luce except that she was at this school because of something that happened in her past. In the beginning of the story it was very difficult to understand exactly what was going on but I actually enjoyed the fact that the author kept you in the dark up until the last few chapters. I loved seeing everything unravel and it made me not want to put the book down. I usually take a little while before I finish a book but this book is definitely a page turner that I would recommend to just about anyone.
